This is where I come in.
One session. Although the camera’s is only capturing for around 30 – 40 minutes, the allotted time for YOU is two hours – Don’t worry about this time, you are done, when you are happy with the results.
We spend time talking, settling in, and working out what’s going
to get the best out of you specifically.
You’ve no need to know how to pose,
and no need to perform.
Most people arrive not quite sure what to do with their face,
and leave surprised by what they see.
I’m guiding you throughout the whole thing. You just need to show up with purpose.
At the end of the session you choose the images you want to keep*.
* The shooting time can produce between 15 and 50 images. Your session fee includes up to 10 retouched images with full usage licence. If you love more than 10, you can buy additional images on the day.

I’m John Bentley
I’ve worked with business owners, directors, creatives, and people who told me they were the least photogenic person they knew. That last group are usually my favourite clients.
I don’t shout instructions across a studio. I have a conversation. I read the room. I work out what’s going to get the best out of you specifically, and then I go and get it.
Most people arrive a little guarded. They leave lighter. That’s the bit I’m most proud of, not the images themselves.
The studio is in Horwich, Bolton. It’s a working space, not a showroom. Come as you are.

Sessions are allocated up to two hours, although the photography itself is often much shorter (30 -40 minutes). The 120 minute time is allowing for conversation, adjustment, and choosing the right image without pressure. Most folks are in and out in the hour.
Simple, well-fitted clothing works best. The focus is on you, not the outfit. Guidance is given before and during the session if needed.
No. Most people are not. The session is guided so you are not left trying to figure it out on your own.
Images are selected during the session, so you leave knowing exactly what you are getting. Final edits are delivered shortly after.
